First appointment with a new horse includes the trim, hoof and movement assessment, and any pertinent information about the horse (age, lifestyle, any past lameness issues, are they metabolic, on any meds, any physical limitations they may have that makes it tough for them to hold their hooves up for trimming, arthritis, any DSLD issues).
